Can't afford to spay or neuter? Let us help you help them! Posted in: News, Press-Release

Spring weather is quickly approaching, and will bring with it an increase in the cat population. The Winnipeg Humane Society (The WHS) is calling for pet-owners on low-income or financial assistance to book a spay or neuter surgery with their Spay and Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP).

The WHS has opened up extra SNAP surgery slots in the coming weeks in an effort to control the cat overpopulation in Winnipeg, and help pet-owners with the surgery cost associated with spaying and neutering. A SNAP spay or neuter surgery costs around $30 for qualified applicants- who either have low-income or are on financial assistance. All pets participating in this program are required to have their full vaccinations with records provided to the clinic staff. If needed, a subsidy vaccination will be administered at the time of the surgery.

Interested applicants will be required to provide proof of household income (most current income tax information for all occupants) or proof of social assistance in order to participate in SNAP. To book a surgery, call 204 888 SNAP today!!
